By Ana Huang.
The final book in the Twisted series is also, without a doubt, my favourite.
Ana Huang delivers a dark, addictive billionaire romance in Twisted Lies, pairing morally grey tech mogul Christian Harper with the sweet and quietly strong Stella Alonso.
Christian is everything you want in an anti-hero: cold, calculated, utterly obsessive and deeply protective. He has little use for love or morality, but from the moment he lays eyes on Stella, all bets are off.
Their fake dating arrangement quickly spirals into something much more intense, with slow-burn tension and sizzling chemistry that leaps off the page.
Stella, a fashion influencer with anxiety and a painful past, finally gets her moment to shine in this book. We saw glimpses of her in the previous instalments, but here we dive into her story and emotional depth. Her growth and her strength, especially in the face of her own doubts and trauma, make her a standout heroine. I especially loved the sensitive way her anxiety was portrayed, and how Christian supported her throughout, helping her realise her own worth.
Their connection is electric. From almost-kisses to heart-stopping moments of vulnerability, every interaction is layered with meaning. Christian’s possessiveness walks a fine line, but it works because of how unwaveringly he respects and prioritises Stella’s wellbeing.
The balance of emotional intimacy and scorching heat is perfectly executed.
The pacing is impeccable, with enough suspense and secrets to keep you gripped. And while the plot twists aren't as central here as in other instalments, the emotional payoff is enormous. It’s a story about learning to trust, to be seen and loved for who you really are, and finding home in another person.
If you love:
✨ Fake dating
✨ Billionaire romance
✨ Forced proximity
✨ Age gap
✨ Morally grey men
...then Twisted Lies will be your new obsession. This was the perfect way to close out the series, and Christian and Stella have my whole heart. I didn’t want it to end.
