There is something about a really well-executed enemies to lovers story that makes it impossible to put down, and Twisted Hate delivers it in spades.

Ana Huang has crafted a steamy, emotional and brilliantly addictive read with characters that are as infuriating as they are loveable.

This book focuses on Josh Chen and Jules Ambrose. Josh, a rising star in the medical world, is smart, cocky and completely insufferable. Jules, a fiercely independent aspiring attorney, has had just about enough of his smug face and sharp tongue.

The only problem?

Their animosity simmers with attraction. And when one heated argument turns into an even hotter night, it opens the door to an enemies-with-benefits arrangement.

What begins as an attempt to burn off the tension only throws them closer together. Their dynamic is electric. The banter, the tension, the emotional undercurrent, all of it creates a relationship that is complicated, messy and completely irresistible.

Josh, for all his arrogance, also brings a surprising emotional depth. His development throughout the book shows a vulnerability that balances out his charm and intensity. Together, their story doesn’t just rely on sexual tension; it explores healing, self-worth and learning to let someone in.

Ana Huang knows how to write chemistry, but she also knows how to write heart. That’s what makes this book stand out. Beneath the heat and humour is a story about two people finding safety in each other, even when it scares them.

While this book stayed with me long after the last page and gave me everything I hoped for in an enemies to lovers romance, a few of the plot twists were quite easy to predict. It didn’t spoil the emotional impact, but it did lessen the suspense just slightly. Even so, this remains one of the strongest entries in the Twisted series.
