Dream Harbor is buzzing with excitement as Jeanie and Logan’s wedding approaches. Kira is keen to show off her newly renovated barn at the Christmas tree farm, Annie has agreed to bake the cake, and Mac has been roped in to help too.

With snow falling, festive spirit everywhere, and the whole town determined to be part of the celebrations, it should be a joyful occasion.

But for Annie and Mac, who have never exactly seen eye to eye, the challenge is simple:

Can they put their differences aside long enough to get the couple down the aisle?

This setup was such a joy to read, and Annie and Mac’s story completely won me over.

Their history felt believable, and the way Laurie Gilmore built their reunion had the perfect mix of warmth, humour and tension.

The enemies to lovers dynamic was well done, with just enough drama to keep things interesting without ever feeling over the top.

The festive atmosphere and small-town charm made this such a cosy and heartwarming read. Annie and Mac are now one of my favourite Dream Harbor couples, and The Gingerbread Bakery had me smiling the whole way through.

An absolutely delightful addition to the series and an easy 5 star read for me.
