That Time Everything Was On Fire by Kerry Downes:
That Time Everything Was On Fire by Kerry Downes is a poignant exploration of friendship, love and the challenges of growing up. The story centres around Sam and Daisy, two women who have been inseparable since their university days. Daisy, the free-spirited soul from the Yorkshire Moors, and Sam, who grew up in Liverpool, have always been each other's greatest support. But as they sit in their favourite local pub, watching Sam’s wedding unfold, neither of them knows that their lives are on the brink of taking very different directions.
As Sam’s longing for motherhood deepens, and Daisy faces the fallout of her self-destructive tendencies, their once unshakable bond begins to fray. Every choice, every unintentional betrayal, creates further distance between them. This book thoughtfully explores the struggle to balance personal desires, relationships and career ambitions, all while trying to maintain a lifelong friendship in the early thirties. Can Sam and Daisy overcome their challenges and rebuild the connection they once had, or is the gap between them too wide to bridge?
The story spans four summers and four winters, providing a reflective and structured look at the passage of time. The book is out now and available to purchase.

Ready for a new chapter, LA publicist Hannah is determined to leave her broken heart behind. When a celebrity client offers her a luxurious penthouse in New York City, she jumps at the chance for a fresh start in the Big Apple.
But life in New York isn’t as simple as she expected. With a troublesome – yet undeniably attractive – client making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and a mysterious, grumpy neighbour seemingly on a mission to drive her out, Hannah’s patience is quickly tested.
It’s going to take all of Hannah’s PR expertise to win over the cynics around her, but as the barriers between them start to crumble, something unexpected begins to stir in her own heart.
Could love be closer than she thought, and could New York be the place where her heart heals?
