An Old Soul PR Box πŸ€ŽπŸ“¦

By M. Kevin Hayden.

I was genuinely surprised to receive the most thoughtful PR box from M. Kevin Hayden to celebrate his book An Old Soul. It was such a kind gesture and a real joy to open.

An Old Soul is a quietly powerful and emotionally layered mystery, blending science fiction with literary fiction in a way that feels both nostalgic and entirely fresh. Set in 1996 Chicago, the story follows Isaac AndrΓ©, a 25-year-old working in a VHS rental shop, haunted by the sense that something in his life is missing.

After buying his first computer, Isaac joins an internet chatroom filled with conspiracy theories and meets Noa Gayle, a mysterious woman who seems strangely familiar. Their shared love of science fiction and the growing intensity of their bond gradually lead the story into deeper, stranger territory.

This is not a fast-paced thriller. It is thoughtful and deliberately paced, with speculative elements that unfold slowly. What really stood out to me was the sense of atmosphere and the questions it raises about identity, memory, and whether we ever truly lose the people we love.

There is a lot of heart in this book. The writing is both accessible and poetic, and it lingers long after you finish reading. I can see this appealing to anyone who enjoys a mystery with emotional weight or a love story that veers into the unexpected.

Thank you again to M. Kevin Hayden for the beautiful PR box and for sharing this unique and moving story with me.
